DEDICATION OF THE BASILICAS OF SAINTS PETER AND PAUL IN ROME

Christ is at the door

Today is one of those few occasions when we celebrate a building instead of a saint—or, in this case, two buildings. The Emperor Constantine built the Basilicas of Saints Peter and Paul back in the fourth century, and they are believed to mark the burial sites of the saints whose names they bear. If it’s the door of your house, it may be the Jehovah’s Witnesses. If it’s the door of your heart, it’s Jesus!
